Project Description

Die Urlaubsfritzen is a website that I run together with a friend. It has many development processes behind itself and is also constantly developing further. From the technical point of view the webpage is a WordPress page, which is completely based on self-written extensions. Only a few artifacts are left from the time when the whole thing was based on a complete theme. For performance reasons I have rebuilt the site more and more to a custom solution. Also features like the fritzen-map (third picture) are self-made. The map is not yet optimized for speed but shows a unique feature. It shows the expected flying hours from Germany with the stripes and the average temperatures worldwide with the colors. This way you can see at a glance where you can fly to at what time and how long the flight would take.
The last picture is a screenshot of a program I wrote to pick out our holiday deals from the amount of offers of our affiliate partners. It reads data streams in JSON format ..writes them into a database ..and can filter, add and export the results according to its own criteria.
